WASHINGTON, DC – The Root Cause Coalition welcomed Mid-Ohio Foodbank as its newest member and 12th new addition since January 1st, 2018.
Mid-Ohio Foodbank, the largest hunger-relief organization in Ohio, develops and implements innovative strategies and solutions to ending hunger, focusing on “Food is Health” and a client-centered community response as well as income and government resources.
“Today, The Root Cause Coalition added another venerable champion of the anti-hunger movement to the ranks of its membership,” said Barbara Petee, Executive Director of The Root Cause Coalition. “Mid-Ohio Foodbank demonstrates the value of shrewd partnerships and mission-focused growth. Mid-Ohio Foodbank becomes the eighth member of the Feeding America network to join the Coalition, following the Greater Chicago Food Depository, Capital Area Food Bank, Oregon Food Bank, Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank, Second Harvest Heartland, St. Louis Area Foodbank and Houston Food Bank.
