What:
The Root Cause Coalition’s Second Annual Summit on the Social Determinants of Health
When: October 9-10, 2017
Where: The Hyatt Regency, Louisville, KY

With healthcare reform once again taking center stage in Washington and state capitals across the country, we cannot forget about the people that we serve and the clear associations between social determinants and poor health status among children, adults and seniors. Factors such as food insecurity, lack of safe and affordable housing, quality education, transportation, and isolation that have a significant impact on individual health and the collective health of our nation. The cost to healthcare, businesses and communities is in the billions. The human toll is incalculable.

Our robust two-day agenda will build upon the discussions at our Inaugural Summit by bringing together representatives from healthcare, the non-profit sector, the faith community, researchers, clinicians, government leaders, and businesses to share best practices, offer community connections and resources, and engage in the crucial discussion of how to best address the social determinants of health.

FAQs – we have included answers to many of our most frequently asked questions below, and will continue to keep this section updated with additional event information as it becomes available. If you have a question that is not addressed below, please feel free to contact  The Root Cause Coalition’s Manager of Operations, Monique Brigham, at contact@rootcausecoalition.org.
