TRCC’s First Annual Trends, Attitudes and Perspectives (TAP) Research Report Released Today!

Throughout 2021, The Root Cause Coalition (TRCC) conducted a series of national surveys to explore Trends, Attitudes and Perspectives (TAP) about health equity and related issues. These monthly pulse surveys test attitudes and perceptions regarding specific aspects of health equity including hunger, poverty, technology, climate change, and how COVID-19 continues to affect individual and public health.

This TAP report reveals broadening education and understanding of issues related to health equity. The data points in this research report help validate and support the ongoing effort and need for increased advocacy and policies that addresses health disparities and health equity, as well as the continuing need to enhance and increase awareness and education of these issues among critical audiences. The pandemic has underscored and laid bare that the playing field isn’t level.

Findings and trends identified by this research are used to help raise public awareness about how these factors influence health and well-being and to guide the coalition’s education, advocacy and research work. This new report includes key takeaways and trends, along with additional considerations including several calls to action for TRCC and its members.
